A veteran attorney who previously served the United States as a Treasury Department advisor, Robb LaKritz is the cofounder and managing partner of LaKritz Adler Development, LLC. Overseeing the company’s investment committee, Robb LaKritz has been involved in a range of successful real estate projects, including the purchase, renovation, and sale of the Dupont Circle Starbucks Building, which is famous for housing the first Starbucks location on the East Coast.
LaKritz Adler Development purchased the almost 10,000-square-foot retail space as well as an adjacent property on Washington, DC’s, Connecticut Avenue NW in March 2010. After combining the buildings and adding a second-floor expansion to the Starbucks store, the firm renovated the existing floors for use as retail and boutique office space.
In March 2014, LaKritz Adler Development sold the property to the Virginia-based Harbor Group International, a global real estate investment company, for $16.2 million. This price broke the record for the most paid for any real estate investment property in the Washington, DC, area.
